Writing a message or an email
A good message has a greeting, an opening line, your message, a question back and a closing. You write to a friend differently from a teacher.
Why
You want to tell your pen friend Sam in Manchester about your weekend, and you have to email a hotel in Dover about the school trip. Do you write both messages the same way?

Whether it is a quick message, an email or a card: with a fixed structure and a few useful sentences, you can write an English message that is clear and friendly.
