Asking questions: who, what, where and do
You build an English question with a question word and do or does: Where do you live? With to be and can you do not need do.
Why
You have a new pen friend in Manchester. What do you ask in your first message?
When you get to know someone, you ask questions: What's your name? Where do you live? How old are you? Do you have any pets? Without questions a conversation does not get very far.
You need them when you travel too: What time does the ferry leave? How much is a ticket? Where is the station? An English question works differently from a Dutch one, and that is what you learn here.
